Job Summary
Allocate orders, release work to the warehouse floor, and balance workflow to optimize productivity. Resolve product shortages, manage order cuts, and communicate updates to customers while ensuring inbound and outbound truck turn times meet standards. Prioritize tasks for Lift Truck Operators and Dock Supervisors, run labor reports, and review performance metrics. Update base priorities, work zone assignments, and pick locations in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, safety programs, and system troubleshooting. Requires proficiency with Americold systems and Microsoft Office, with occasional travel by automobile or airplane. May involve visits to warehouse operations in freezing temperatures and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience
- Proficiency with basic PC software
- Americold systems
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to train users on relevant systems
- Ability to troubleshoot system problems
- Ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing
- Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending
- Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work
- operation of computers, telephones, and similar equipment
- May require travel by automobile and airplane for business
- May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing
- May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds
