Job Summary
Inspect water park rides, amusement park attractions, and fiberglass components to identify hazards endangering guests or employees. Perform inspection and maintenance programs adhering to Six Flags, manufacturer, ASTM, and state standards. Maintain and repair water park attractions, swimming pools, and park facilities, including visual and physical checks of pumps, slides, and chemical systems. Conduct basic mechanical repairs, fix fiberglass waterslides, and respond to work orders to ensure safe park operation. Maintain the Six Flags Water Quality program. Adhere to park policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Basic mechanical skills
- Experience in FRP fabrication/repair, polyester, gelcoat, and epoxy lamination
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to professionally interact with other shops and various departments
- Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of guests, co-workers and park management
- Ability to write, speak and comprehend English
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job including lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends and holidays
- Valid Drivers' License and clean DMV report
- Must be able to pass a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course within 12 months of hire date or maintain a current license
- Employees are required to supply their own hand tools
