Water & Wastewater Treatment Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead the execution of water and wastewater treatment facility projects in North Carolina and Virginia, directing technical strategies, process selection, design criteria, and construction-document production. Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and client communications; cultivate client relationships, negotiate scopes and fees, and support billing. Collaborate with internal teams and cross-sell services; oversee multiple mid-sized/small projects. Requires a Civil/Mechanical Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and a Professional Engineer license in NC/VA (or reciprocity within 6 months); 6–10 years of municipal water/wastewater design experience; proficiency with engineering software, modeling tools, and CADD; experience developing construction cost estimates; strong communication skills. Advanced degree and assoc. DBIA certification preferred; EnviroSim BioWin experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in North Carolina and Virginia, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
- 6–10 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment design
- Experience with engineering software, modeling tools, and CADD
- Ability to develop construction cost estimates
- Strong communication skills with clients, staff, and design teams
- EnviroSim BioWin software experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and manage budgets/schedules
