Job Summary
Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities of water and wastewater plants, leading a team of operators in hiring, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions. Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements while managing maintenance of trucks and equipment, including capital budgeting. Create and manage the operational budget, generate monthly reports, and assess performance to implement continuous improvements. Communicate weekly with account managers and conduct site visits to coordinate repairs. Requires a BA/BS degree, 5-7 years of water/wastewater experience, and two years of supervisory experience. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and Water/Wastewater Operator's License required. Hourly pay with health, dental, 401(k), and PTO benefits.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in related field
- 5-7 years water/wastewater experience
- Two years previous supervisory experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Water/Wastewater Operator's License specific to state and site specific requirements
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations
- Working knowledge of Utility SOPs
- Ability to frequently lift 50-60 pounds
- Ability to load, unload & move large equipment/tools
- Ability to access confined spaces
- Ability to continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders
- Background screening completion
- Drug testing completion
- Driving record review completion
