Job Summary
Manage water and wastewater transmission projects through study, design, and construction phases, serving as the primary client contact to inform stakeholders on status and key decisions. Direct complex investigations, prepare technical reports, and review shop drawings for equipment and material selection. Coordinate project phases to align scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations while overseeing engineers, technicians, and field representatives. Seal drawings and reports to ensure continuity and conformity across deliverables. Advise construction teams on issues and communicate with agencies, vendors, and contractors. Requires a Texas PE license, 6+ years of experience in pump stations and pipelines, and a Bachelor's in civil or mechanical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- 6+ years of experience designing water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and large and small diameter pipelines
- Experience managing projects through study, design, and construction phases
- Experience leading technical staff and reviewing engineering work for quality and consistency
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- Experience serving as the primary client contact for municipal infrastructure projects
- Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and partner firms
- Experience reviewing shop drawings and selecting equipment and materials for conveyance projects
- Experience managing and supervising staff
