Job Summary
Support assigned water and wastewater clients while developing, reviewing, and refining project scopes in coordination with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Apply working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS to support planning, design, and documentation for conveyance, treatment, and utility infrastructure projects. Collaborate across disciplines on project delivery, guide junior staff, and perform advanced drafting and technical support tasks. Respond to inquiries from contractors, utility staff, and agencies with clear communication, preparing technical reports and presentations. Perform work under general supervision while representing the firm professionally with stakeholders and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with municipal water and/or wastewater projects
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in water and wastewater engineering
- Experience with planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, including: Water mains and booster pump stations
- Experience with planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, including: Gravity sewer mains, sewer lift stations, and force mains
- Experience with planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, including: Water and wastewater treatment plants
- Experience with planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure, including: Hydraulic modeling and master planning
- Ability to apply engineering principles to routine and moderately complex water/wastewater projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical judgment
- Effective communication skills, including written reports, technical memoranda, and presentations
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in water/wastewater system design
- Strong collaboration skills
- Ability to develop positive client and regulatory relationships
- 5+ years of experience

- Apply working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS to support planning, design, and documentation efforts
- Provide technical design and engineering support for water and wastewater conveyance, treatment, and utility infrastructure projects
- Collaborate across disciplines and offices on the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater systems
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering work throughout all phases of project delivery
- Work closely with engineers, surveyors, field personnel, inspectors, contractors, and construction teams to ensure project alignment
- Guide, coordinate, and mentor junior staff, technicians, designers, and administrative personnel as appropriate
- Perform advanced drafting, modeling, and technical support tasks to meet project requirements
- Respond to inquiries from contractors, utility staff, and regulatory agencies with clear, timely, and professional communication
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, memoranda, plans, and presentations
- Perform work under general supervision, exercising judgment on moderately complex or non-routine challenges
- Support the development and continuous improvement of technical standards, design guidelines, and operational procedures
- Represent the firm professionally with clients, stakeholders, and community partners
- Participate in professional development, continuing education, and industry organizations
- Must be available for weekend shifts
