Water/Wastewater Operator

Job Summary
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance systems; monitor plant processes and perform laboratory testing to ensure effluent quality; conduct routine and emergency operations, maintenance, and repairs; ensure safety and regulatory compliance; engage with internal/external stakeholders to provide information and support; maintain logs, reports, and documentation; assist customers with water-related concerns and address odors/vector control; work on-call/shift as required; comply with OSHA and company safety policies; training and guidance to peers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid TCEQ Class “D” water or wastewater license
- Candidates with out-of-state licenses must obtain the required Texas license within 90 days of hire
- High school education or GED as a minimum
- Valid driver’s license in the State of Texas
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a physical exam
- Resides within the area of employment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely operate various equipment
- Ability to make equipment repairs
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE for chemical protection
- Knowledge of safety regulations and established procedures for maintenance and testing
