Job Summary
Conduct constructability reviews and plan inspections prior to construction, interacting with design engineers to ensure projects proceed per specifications and regulatory requirements. Perform on-site observations of work in progress, including field testing of materials and equipment acceptance, while maintaining safe, orderly job sites. Manage construction progress through daily communications with project managers, attending pre-construction and weekly meetings, and following up on RFIs. Review contractor payment applications and prepare final punch lists for project closeout. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, labor trades, and equipment supplied, providing daily reports to the engineering team. Ensure all work adheres to NJDEP procedures and contract documents.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated experience in water/wastewater inspections
- Minimum of 5 years of construction observation or construction experience directly related to one of the following disciplines: water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and water / wastewater treatment systems, and roadway construction
- High School diploma or equivalent
- computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Microsoft outlook
- Valid Driver's License
