Job Summary
Conduct multidisciplinary engineering design and analysis for water, wastewater, and reuse systems, developing detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Manage projects from planning through construction, including bid preparation and site administration, while performing technical reporting to ensure regulatory compliance. Lead client and regulatory negotiations, coordinate customized solutions, and mentor junior staff across mining, energy, and municipal sectors. Support field operations through site visits and short-term travel to industrial facilities and treatment plants. Requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and a hybrid schedule with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering from an accredited university
- 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably working on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
- Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
- Ability to work in locations that feature rough terrain typical of construction sites with limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities
- Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Exposure to work in a laboratory setting, including bench-scale testing and wastewater analysis
- Exposure to treatment plant operations

Desired Qualifications
- More than 15 years of experience working on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering firm
- Master's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
