Job Summary
Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer responsible for leading design of municipal water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems. Key duties include performing hydraulic calculations and pump sizing, developing plans, specifications, and permitting documentation, preparing technical reports and cost estimates, mentoring junior engineers, and driving client relationships and regional project coordination. The role requires leadership in design teams, strong knowledge of regulatory standards, and the ability to contribute to business development while delivering high-quality, sustainable infrastructure projects for municipal and industrial clients. Travel as needed and overtime to meet project deadlines. Salary range: $100,000–$140,000 with eligibility for discretionary bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Illinois and/or Missouri P.E. or ability to obtain within 6 months
- At least 8 years in water/wastewater engineering with focus on system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, ArcGIS
- Familiarity with Missouri DNR and Illinois EPA regulations
- Ability to travel and work overtime
- Excellent communication skills
