Job Summary
Conduct multidisciplinary collaboration on cross-functional project teams delivering engineering solutions for municipal and industrial clients in mining, energy, and manufacturing sectors. Perform technical analyses including mass balances, process calculations, and cost estimates to develop detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for treatment systems and infrastructure. Execute field sampling and bench or pilot testing at client sites to evaluate and fine-tune water and wastewater treatment design bases. Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, design documentation, and project reports while ensuring all designs meet environmental standards and regulatory compliance. Participate in site visits and short-term travel assignments to support project delivery and client engagement, with an expectation of up to 25% travel including continuous job site presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, biosystems, or chemical engineering from an accredited university
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Willingness and ability to regularly travel
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
- Ability to work in locations that feature rough terrain typical of construction sites with limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities
- Must be able to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift or move field testing equipment
