Job Summary
Water/Wastewater Consultant provides onsite technical assistance and training to 15–20 rural communities and small water/wastewater systems, addressing public water supply and wastewater challenges; prepares reports, feasibility studies, and rate analyses; builds relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders; ensures compliance with organizational policies, grant/contract requirements, and time/expense/project record tracking; ideal candidate resides in Woodward, OK with option to work from home. Must have Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or Water/Wastewater Operator Certification with 5+ years of experience; must maintain a valid driver’s license and be authorized to work in the USA.
Required Qualifications
- Education Option A: Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, social sciences, management, public administration or related field preferred and 1 year experience
- Option B: Current Water or Wastewater Operator Certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in operating and/or managing community environmental management systems
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the USA
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Understanding of basic financial statements and budgeting for operational/capital improvement projects
- Accurate and detail-oriented work products
