Job Summary
Operate a water truck to control dust on haul roads, work areas, and around active equipment; maintain proper moisture levels on roadways to ensure safe driving conditions for haul trucks and support equipment; perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections; monitor water levels and refill as needed throughout the shift; report equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or hazards immediately; follow all site safety policies and MSHA regulations; communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators; assist with general site support duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a water truck or similar heavy equipment preferred
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL may be required depending on equipment)
- MSHA certification (preferred; may be required prior to start)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
- Strong awareness of safety and site traffic patterns
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Team players who communicate well and stay alert in active work zones
