Job Summary
Water Truck Driver drives a 3,000-gallon water truck to transport water to and from construction sites, loading from water sources and applying water for dust control or to assist material compaction. Responsibilities include safe driving, loading/unloading, maintaining truck logs per state/federal regulations, complying with OSHA/MSHA safety procedures, wearing PPE, following Foreman directions, performing routine maintenance and minor servicing, daily pre/post inspections, and assisting other crew tasks and training less-experienced employees. Requires a Class B CDL with Tank Endorsement, ability to pass a DOT medical exam, and basic reading/writing and arithmetic skills; physical capability to meet job demands is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License with Tank Endorsement (Class B)
- DOT medical card
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions
- Ability to write routine reports
- Ability to perform basic math
- Physical ability to perform job duties
- Experience in truck operation and maintenance
