Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee pilot studies and condition assessments of water infrastructure. Perform process technology evaluations to satisfy safe drinking water regulations and deliver concept, preliminary, and detailed designs for water treatment plant upgrades and distribution projects. Coordinate with civil, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects while guiding architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and I&C disciplines. Assess marketplace trends to support business development activities and mentor junior water process and design staff. Participate in local and national professional organizations, including attending and presenting at conferences. Work on groundbreaking water projects across the Northeast US Region, leveraging deep technical abilities to solve complex infrastructure challenges for public and private-sector clients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years of related experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with planning, design, construction, and operation of water-related projects, including supply, treatment, pumping station, storage, and distribution / transmission
- 10+ years of extensive project experience in municipal water planning and design
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be client-facing
- Strong knowledge of water design codes, standards, and regulations
- Strong commitment to ensuring safe project execution
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods
- Self-starter and ability to take initiative
- Experienced technical writer
- Must be able to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
