Water Treatment System Operator

Water Treatment System Operator responsible for safe operation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of temporary and permanent water treatment systems supporting environmental remediation, mine water management, construction dewatering, and industrial wastewater treatment projects; primarily field-based with travel throughout Ontario, including remote mine sites and rotational work schedules. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining treatment systems (filtration, clarification, chemical treatment, membrane systems, pumping), performing inspections and field testing, collecting samples, recording data and logs, performing preventative maintenance, commissioning/startup/shutdown, coordinating with project managers and technical staff, responding to alarms and process upsets, and ensuring compliance with environmental permits and project specifications. Documentation, reporting, client relations, and health and safety compliance are emphasized, along with capacity to work in remote site conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in rotating schedules; strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills are required plus willingness to work under field conditions and adapt to remote environments.
