Job Summary
Process Engineer (Chemical Engineer) with water-sector experience to join the Water Team at Bechtel, based at Bechtel offices in India (Chennai). Develop design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, ion balances, hydraulic profiles, heat and mass balances and process calculations with minimal supervision. Interact with Bechtel offices (Houston, Santiago, London) and coordinate efforts between engineering groups, clients, suppliers, and contractors. May assume a lead technical role on tasks. Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals and contribute to cost estimates, quantity take-offs, staffing forecasts, and change orders. Foster transparency, teamwork, and innovation in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- A recognized degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- English level: Fluent.
- Water and Wastewater Treatment Technologies and Equipment, Desalination, Water Chemistry.
- Process engineering design.
- Site experience will be advantageous.
