Job Summary
Field Service Pump Technician responsible for loading/unloading equipment and assisting in maintenance, repair, and installation of water pump systems. This entry-level role involves identifying hoses, pipes, fittings, and pumps, using motorized handling machinery, securing loads, keeping yards and loading areas clean, and following safety procedures. Must be able to travel locally to customer job sites, assist in connecting pipes and setting pumps, diagnose issues with diesel-powered heavy equipment, and lift up to 75 pounds while working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General mechanical aptitude
- Prior experience in a hands-on, field-based (outdoor) position
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment and/or machinery preferred
- Diesel engine experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally as needed
- Ability to read, write legibly and communicate effectively
- Ability to safely operate diesel-powered hydraulic lifting equipment
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
