Job Summary
Execute hands-on rehabilitation work on steel structures in outdoor and elevated environments, including surface preparation via abrasive blasting and coating application. Perform structural repairs through welding, grinding, and steel replacement, while replacing and repairing tank components like hatches, vents, and platforms. Complete mechanical repairs, assist with equipment mobilization, and finalize projects by managing punch lists and closeout tasks. Maintain strict OSHA safety standards while working as part of a field crew to meet project schedules. This role requires 3–7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or structural rehabilitation, with the ability to travel nationwide for assignments.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, structural rehabilitation, plant work, bridge work, or similar heavy field environments
- Experience performing multiple types of industrial work (coatings, mechanical repairs, structural repairs — not just welding)
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor job site conditions
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and OSHA compliance
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow project specifications
- Willingness to travel nationwide for project assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with industrial coatings (SSPC/NACE standards)
- Structural steel repair experience
- Rigging, fall protection, or confined space training
- Previous shutdown or turnaround experience
- CDL or equipment operation experience
