Water Systems Project Engineer (PE)

Job Summary
Lead the design of potable water pipelines, pumping systems, and water treatment facilities from concept through construction, including hydraulic modeling, calculations, and cost estimates. Assist senior engineers with project planning, management, and construction support while reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and resolving field issues. Oversee junior engineers, perform quality control on deliverables, and coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams. Requires a California PE license, 5–7 years of experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and strong collaboration skills. Preferred experience includes groundwater well equipping, chemical dosing, and potable water treatment systems. Required Qualifications
- California registered professional engineer
- 5–7 years of experience designing municipal potable water systems
- Experience designing water pipelines, pump stations, and related infrastructure
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables
- A genuine desire to continue learning, growing technically, and contributing to a collaborative engineering team
