Required Qualifications

  • Possession of current certificates in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Possession of current certificates in Water Safety Instructor
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must be in good physical and mental health
  • Ability to perform each skill/stroke to the level 4 criteria
  • Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children of all ages
  • Ability to use appropriate positive discipline consistently
  • Dependability
  • Ability to handle security and crisis situations calmly
  • Ability to seek supervision and use it consistently
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
