Job Summary
Deliver engaging swim lessons using the Aqua-Tots curriculum for all ages and skill levels while maintaining constant awareness of pool safety and following all safety procedures, including Minor In-Water Incident protocols. Connect with families to provide updates on student progress, answer parent questions, and track student progress by completing Aqua-Cards accurately at the end of each shift. Ensure pool readiness by checking chemicals, logging results, and maintaining a clean, organized pool area, while assisting with cleaning tasks including the pool deck, windows, and showers. Attend trainings, staff meetings, and support team goals under the guidance of the Lead on Duty.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work at least two shifts per week
- Comfortable in the water and able to swim
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, energetic, and patient attitude
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camps, babysitting, etc.)
- Aquatics experience (lifeguarding, swim team, instructing)
