Job Summary

Lead a production team, manage resources, and resolve technical and design problems while coaching and mentoring Water Resources Designers and Project Engineers. Design and produce civil engineering construction documents including site plans, utility profiles, and design reports. Prepare local and FEMA flood studies, perform storm drainage and culvert design, and handle site grading, earthworks, and sediment/erosion control design and permitting. Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, contractors, and owners, and work with local and third-party utility providers regarding project impacts. Work in accordance with company standards from the concept phase through construction administration for a variety of projects across McAdams office locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering
  • Texas PE license
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience with storm drainage modeling software (HEC-HMS, StormCAD, HydraFlow, etc.)
  • Experience with flood modeling software (HEC-RAS)
  • Possess technical expertise in site civil engineering as it applies to stormwater and natural resources
  • Candidate should be prepared to provide work samples and/or take a CAD assessment
