Job Summary
Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and distribution systems in accordance with AWWA, ASCE, and Clean Water Act standards. Perform feasibility studies incorporating hydraulic and environmental evaluations, and prepare engineering calculations, reports, and cost estimates for NJDEP and EPA permitting. Conduct site inspections and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and client needs. Manage technical scope, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff on design procedures and sustainable practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in water resources engineering
- PE License or on track to obtain within reasonable amount of time
- Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations, permitting processes, and relevant federal standards (EPA, CWA, SDWA)
- Experience with AutoCAD and technical report writing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
