Job Summary
Design water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and distribution systems in accordance with AWWA, ASCE, and regulatory standards. Conduct feasibility studies incorporating hydraulic and environmental evaluations, prepare engineering calculations, reports, and cost estimates, and perform site inspections to ensure design compliance. Lead regulatory permitting efforts for NJPDES and Treatment Works Approvals while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors. Manage technical scope, budgets, and schedules in a fast-paced environment. Mentor junior engineering staff and incorporate sustainable design principles. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering, six years of water resources experience, and a PE license. Salary range $120,000-$150,000. Hybrid/remote work flexibility with 15 days PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in water resources engineering
- PE License or on track to obtain within reasonable amount of time
- Strong knowledge of NJDEP regulations, permitting processes, and relevant federal standards (EPA, CWA, SDWA)
- Experience with AutoCAD and technical report writing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
