Water Resources Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage multidisciplinary teams and project delivery for stormwater infrastructure, fish passage, river and stream restoration, and flood mitigation projects in Puget Sound. Direct and oversee the preparation of floodplain and watershed studies, hydrologic and hydraulic design reports, and construction documents while guiding staff in preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports. Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and prepare various reports supporting design decisions and permitting at local, county, state, and federal levels. Participate in team strategy meetings on business development and technical delivery, support client development and proposal activities, and assist the Transportation, Planning, and Architecture business units.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of previous Project Management/Project Engineering experience in stream/river restoration design, or related field
  • Must possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with preparation of construction documents for project designs and permits supported by hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic calculations
  • Demonstrated success managing projects from design through construction
  • Experience with SWMM, HSPF, HEC-RAS, SRH-2D or similar hydrologic and hydraulic models
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and/or AutoCAD
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple project tasks with simultaneous deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
