Job Summary
Lead design efforts for drainage, post-construction stormwater management, erosion & sedimentation control, and NPDES permitting within the Highway department. Develop and submit E&SC and PCSM plans and permitting packages, perform independent planning and design tasks, review others’ work, and deliver projects to completion. Stay current with permitting updates, mentor junior staff, coordinate with regulatory agencies and project teams, develop schedules and technical proposals, and support business development. Proficiency with Autodesk, MicroStation/OpenRoads, and hydraulics software; familiarity with EPA regulations and land development/WVDOT projects; strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to develop budgets and cost estimates; deliver high-quality, on-time, on-budget projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering from ABET accredited school
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ stormwater design experience
