Job Summary

Lead professional engineering consultation for the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office, focusing on planning, design, and coordination of diverse infrastructure projects. Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria while preparing scaled drawings, proposals, and ensuring material approvals. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage client communications and presentations, and review junior staff work for technical accuracy. Perform quality control reviews and field observations of ongoing construction projects. Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules; serve as a team expert or project lead to guide assignments and manage direct reports. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • seven years relevant experience
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • professional engineer in good standing
  • knowledge of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
  • proficiency in production software and construction document production
  • proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner
  • experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects
  • providing technical guidance to junior-level staff
  • reviewing others' work for technical accuracy
  • strong oral and written communication skills
  • ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
