Job Summary
Perform engineering calculations, data analysis, and resiliency assessments to support water resources and infrastructure projects. Assist staff with designing plans and specifications for stormwater, drainage, and site civil improvements while contributing to GIS, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling efforts. Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and construction phase observations across Massachusetts and New England. This role focuses on climate resilience, flood mitigation, and sustainable design initiatives within a full-service environmental consulting firm.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to project sites
- Willingness to perform occasional field work, including site investigations and construction observations
Desired Qualifications
- Students with at least two years of completed coursework are preferred
- Interest in water resources engineering, climate resilience, flood mitigation, stormwater management, and site civil design
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and coordinate multiple assignments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Introductory knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or related engineering software is preferred
- Intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to learn and grow as an engineer
