Water Resources and Stormwater Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the execution of water resources projects focusing on stormwater planning and design, flood control, and condition assessment, including planning/modeling/design of stormwater improvements (open channels, sewer systems, detention/retention facilities) and green infrastructure. Develop flood mitigation measures (dams, levees, reservoirs, pump stations), erosion and sediment control (SWPPP), and regulatory submittals (USACE, FEMA). Provide business development leadership, build client relationships, and act as Project Manager. Mentor professionals, recruit early-career staff, and support growth of the Planning business. Proficient in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, InfoWorks, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, Cityworks/Lucity/CMMS; hold active engineering licensure; bachelor’s degree in engineering; 5+ years of relevant experience. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days; majority of work is office-based with some site visits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records)
- Holds active engineering registration or licensure for BV projects in applicable countries
- Experience with water resources planning and design projects
- Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures
- Project management and leadership experience
- Ability to drive client-facing/business development efforts
- Hybrid work options may be offered after 90 days
- Strong mentorship and team-building skills
