Job Summary
Lead advanced hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for infrastructure projects, developing models with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and OpenRoads Drainage while evaluating floodplain impacts and stormwater strategies. Serve as Technical Task Lead and Project Manager, overseeing scope, budgets, schedules, and quality control across internal teams, subconsultants, and clients. Mentor junior engineers, review technical reports and cost estimates, and ensure designs comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in proposal preparation, fee estimation, and business development to identify additional service opportunities. Requires active PE license, 6+ years of water resources experience, and proficiency in industry-standard software. Salary ranges from $85,000 to $105,000 plus straight time for billable hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 6+ years water resources engineering experience
- Strong background in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software and modeling tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with transportation, municipal, or water resources infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Federal Emergency Management Agency floodplain requirements and Federal Highway Administration drainage design standards
- Experience working with public-sector clients, including Departments of Transportation, counties, and/or municipalities
- Active PE license in one or more of these states: CO, NM, MT, MN, ND, SD and AZ
