Job Summary
Water Resource Design Engineer focused on Everglades restoration projects (canal and levee systems) and DOT initiatives. Lead design of canal, levee, and other water flow projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, HEC-RAS/HMS, TR-20/55, and XPSWMM; develop mitigation, stormwater, grading, and BMP plans; contribute to land acquisition processes; conduct site feasibility visits; provide technical specs and field construction guidance; perform data/site visits and construction oversight with travel as required; must hold a Florida PE or be able to obtain one; remote-friendly in Florida with relocation option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with a focus on water resources or environmental engineering
- 5+ years of experience in stormwater management, floodplain management, and/or stream and wetland design
- Construction oversight experience for natural resource projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D, TR-20/55, HEC-RAS/HMS, XPSWMM, and GIS
- PE License in Florida or the ability to obtain a PE in Florida
