Job Summary
Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of commercial and industrial water treatment systems, including reverse osmosis, deionization, and chemical feed equipment. Independently manage service calls, preventive maintenance, installations, and commissioning across an assigned territory in Southeast Michigan. Diagnose issues involving PLC controls, pumps, valves, and instrumentation while creating detailed service reports and communicating findings to customers and internal teams. Participate in a shared on-call rotation approximately once every 6–8 weeks, with occasional evening or weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience servicing commercial or industrial water treatment equipment
- Hands-on experience with RO, DI, softeners, filters, UV, chemical feed systems, pumps, valves, sensors, controls, and instrumentation
- Experience supporting healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial customers
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to independently manage a service territory and prioritize multiple service calls
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical education or military service
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
- Ability to perform physical work that may include climbing stairs or ladders, removing media, and installing equipment
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving to customer sites
- Willingness to work in hot and cold temperatures
- Willingness to work in environments involving chemicals, noise, and required PPE for the face, ears, and hands
- Overnight travel
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation
- Occasional evening or weekend work
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least 18 years old
- Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE)
- Must pass a drug screening
