Water Polo Coach

Job Summary
Conduct water polo instruction for local youth, teaching fundamentals of treading water, passing, shooting, offensive and defensive play. Prepare practices and workouts per YMCA guidelines while maintaining a safe, controlled, and fun environment. Build relationships with swimmers and parents, encourage parent involvement, and identify potential volunteers. Organize and manage team equipment, maintain attendance and agenda records, and attend practices and games as required. Follow all safety procedures, complete incident reports, and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification
- AED certification
- Basic First Aid certification
- Emergency Oxygen certification
- USA Water Polo Certification
- Knowledge of the water polo rules and regulations
- Knowledgeable in competition management
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Ability to lift equipment
