Job Summary
Operate and maintain pumps, valves, and chemical feed systems while performing routine inspections of tanks, aquifer levels, and water mains. Monitor flow, pressure, and SCADA readings to ensure system integrity and record daily logs. Collect water samples for analysis, address repairs, and respond to quality complaints by implementing corrective actions. Adhere to TCEQ and EPA standards while wearing required safety gear during outdoor fieldwork. Work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, with on-call rotation for emergencies. Obtain TCEQ Water Operator D License within six months.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to obtain TCEQ Water Operator D License within 6 months of employment
- Must have a valid Class "C" Driver's License before employment
- Must obtain Texas Class "C" driver's license within 30 days of hire
- Must pass a drug test
- Must pass a criminal history background check
- Must pass a social security number verification check
- Must be able to work outside of regular business hours
- Must be able to work early mornings
- Must be able to work nights
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to work holidays
- Must be subject to on-call rotation
- Must consistently wear protective gear such as safety shoes, safety vests, gloves, and hard hats
Desired Qualifications
- Water operation and/or maintenance experience
- TCEQ Water Operator D License
