Job Summary
Water Mitigation Technician responsible for the initial response to water damage and recovery efforts. You will assess affected areas, perform water extraction, set up drying equipment, perform containment, remove contaminated materials (including flooring, cabinets, drywall), complete the drying process, perform cleaning, and document daily logs and work orders. The role requires IICRC certifications, 1+ year experience in water mitigation and carpentry, strong communication with customers and team, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work a rotating on-call schedule with regular overtime. Must have a valid driver’s license, pass background and drug screening, and wear PPE as required. The position is based inMissoula, MT, and involves work at customer properties with safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- IICRC Certifications are required
- 1+ year experience in water mitigation, mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanings
- 1+ year experience in carpentry
- Availability to work a rotating on-call schedule
- Available for regular overtime
- Able to lift 50 LBS
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
- Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and pass MVR check
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
