Job Summary
Set up and operate a Water Jet machine to cut silicone parts according to blueprint specifications and work instructions. Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine appropriate operations. Use inspection gauges, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, to perform quality checks and correct dimensional problems. Maintain accurate counts on completed and scrapped parts while keeping tools and equipment clean and orderly. Perform set-up for prototype parts and remove small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish. This 2nd shift role at Avalign in Greenwood, IN requires a self-starter with 2 years of related experience and mathematical skills to manage units of measure.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of related experience and/or training
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
- Ability to walk and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- A quick learner who is always ready to gain depth of knowledge in manufacturing processes
- A reliable individual who knows the importance of showing up when it counts
- Someone who accept assignments with an open, cooperative, positive and team-oriented approach
- Someone who is able to plan and execute plans across teams
- An effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
