Water Jet Operator - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Set up and operate waterjet machines to manufacture precision components within the Fabrication Department. Work from blueprints, drawings, and work orders while calculating dimensions and tolerances using calipers and tape measures. Align fixtures, select tools, and load programs before machining parts with grinders, drills, and engraving equipment. Perform in-process and final inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, deburr, clean, and mark finished parts. Maintain machinery through routine cleaning and lubrication while accurately recording production time and output. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, and working in confined spaces. One to two years of waterjet or machining experience is required, along with the ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of waterjet or related machining experience
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and crouch for extended periods
- Ability to work in confined or awkward spaces, use ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks in a manufacturing environment
