Job Summary
Lead water exercise classes and promote programs for members and participants. Ensure safety of all participants, demonstrate exercises, assist lifeguards in emergencies, maintain certifications, teach all assigned classes, notify supervisor if unable to teach, substitute when needed, attend staff trainings, develop relationships with members and donors, and adhere to YMCA policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid
- Must have Group/Water Exercise certification from a nationally recognized organization
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to relate to pool patrons in a positive manner
- All instructional classes will be taught to the program objectives of the YMCA Water Exercise Program.
