Job Summary
Performs semi-skilled work in construction, maintenance and repair of water and reclaimed water utility systems; operates power tools and equipment; handles meter service, hydrant maintenance, and water quality investigations; participates in on-call rotation and responds to leaks, service taps, and main breaks; requires ability to read/write, communicate with the public, and work under supervision of the Utility Foreman; requires valid Florida driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited high school or possess an acceptable equivalency diploma
- six months of experience in water utility maintenance, construction field or closely-related experience
- Within one year CPR / AED qualified
- able to obtain and maintain a Florida Driver's License
