Job Summary
Monitor and operate building mechanical systems including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and pumps while regulating temperature and humidity via the BMS. Rebuild hydronic pumps, perform repairs using machine and hand tools, and execute scheduled preventive maintenance based on manuals and specifications. Respond promptly to emergency situations such as fire alarms, floods, and leaks, coordinating with the Command Center to mitigate damage. Record temperatures, utility meter readings, and maintenance logs, reporting all deficiencies to the Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor. Assist with various duties on all shifts, including plumbing repairs and retrieving equipment for special events.
Required Qualifications
- 2nd Class Fireman's License
- 5 years' experience
- working knowledge of computers in a Windows environment
- BMS systems
- Schneider
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Facility Dude
- effective oral and written communications skills
- ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
- physically able to meet all job requirements
- Valid US Driver's license
- ability to work indoors and outdoors in potentially cramped spaces
- ability to work during inclement weather year round
- Required shift overtime coverage
