Job Summary
Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment system, including electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate water flow. Dose chemicals into process water, monitor treatment effectiveness, and conduct laboratory testing of effluent to adjust processes as needed. Perform preventative maintenance on sludge filter press equipment, calibrate instrumentation, and coordinate monthly discharge sample collection. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues, support plant quality initiatives, and deliver training to hourly teammates on quality standards. Conduct workstation audits, gauge calibrations, and special projects as directed by management. Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrates strong teamwork
- Ability to coordinate effectively across departments
- Sound decision-making, analytical, and computational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to promote and support safe work practices in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push, and pull
- Must be able to reach in all directions as required to perform essential job functions
- Must be able to perform additional physical activities necessary to safely execute job responsibilities
