Wastewater Treatment Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Operate the wastewater treatment system by manually adjusting flow valves and managing pneumatic, magnetic drive, and metering pumps to achieve acceptable content readings. Monitor batch treatment processes, obtain samples, and report analytical data for water flow, metal concentrations, and pH levels into the electronic system. Immediately respond to incidental chemical spills by cleaning the area and disposing of contaminated materials in compliance with EPA and DOT regulations. Transfer and remove chemicals using hand trucks and forklifts while ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed. Complete site audits to verify PPE usage and chemical storage accessibility, and actively participate in hazardous material training programs. Work the overnight shift at the East Syracuse facility, maintaining a clean environment and reporting all safety concerns or near misses to the EHS Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand and apply chemical processing guidelines, procedures, and environmental regulations
  • Technical aptitude with a high-attention to detail and drive for action
  • Ability to be a positive team member while also working independently
  • Must complete a 12-module hazardous material training program and certify as a forklift operator
  • General computer skills and ability to update electronic records, enter data into systems, and send emails
  • Able to sit or stand throughout a shift and independently push, pull, or lift 50-pounds
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
  • Consistently meet attendance requirements
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as necessary
  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment that includes machinery, moving parts, noise, and chemicals
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC
  • Being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents
  • Recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation
  • Understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL)
  • Understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US
  • Manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • 1-2 years of waste water treatment experience
  • Experience within the aerospace industry or AS9102
