Job Summary
Lead field operations on wastewater projects including treatment plants, distribution systems, and pump stations to ensure completion safely, on time, and on budget. Manage overall job safety per SSHASP, ensuring OSHA compliance, leading toolbox talks, and conducting routine safety leadership walks. Coordinate daily schedules with subcontractors and vendors, review look-ahead schedules against the baseline CPM, and submit weekly rolling forecasts to the General Superintendent. Enter daily time sheets into Heavy Job software, participate in cost projections, and verify utility One Call requests before ground disturbing work. Ensure conformance with contract documents, coordinate special inspections, and implement corrective actions for non-conforming work. Report to the regional General Superintendent and work alongside the Project Manager to uphold contractual commitments and company vision.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering, or 4-Year Degree in Construction or Environmental Management
- 7+ years of related experience with at least 3 years as a Superintendent
- 10+ years of direct field experience in wastewater construction as a supervisor with 5+ years as a superintendent
- Experience as a supervisor on projects with a value of at least $10M
- Experience in Wastewater Construction (treatment plants, distribution systems, pump stations, mechanical, instrumentation and control systems)
- Valid Driver's License
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Accurately process documents
- Proficient with interpreting plans and specs
- Developing construction schedules
- Familiar with electronic document access and construction management software
- Advocate for training and developing others
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a supervisor on projects with a value of at least $10M preferred
- Experience in transportation infrastructure a plus
