Job Summary
The Wastewater Process Operator will perform skilled computer, laboratory, and field work to ensure the proper operation of equipment for regulatory compliance, document plant operations, perform general maintenance, and collect water samples for testing. Ideal candidates possess strong teamwork, organizational, analytical, and mechanical skills, with previous experience in wastewater treatment preferred. A high school diploma is mandatory, alongside a valid driver's license, and certifications as listed. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work with exposure to various environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Previous teamwork experience with similar responsibilities or wastewater treatment plant operation and/or maintenance is preferred
- Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
- Class B commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement required within 12 months of employment
- Class I Wastewater Operator Certification from the State of Kansas required within 24 months
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills
