Wastewater Operator

Operate and control wastewater treatment plant systems and equipment to purify and clarify water for permitted industrial discharge. Collect and test wastewater samples, analyze lab data to identify treatment issues, and implement process changes to ensure compliance. Maintain complete operational coverage across scheduled shifts (primarily 12-hour night shifts); operate electric motors, pumps, and valves; coordinate with other operators, management, and maintenance; perform preventative maintenance and assist with minor repairs (chemical pump repair, valve replacement, piping installation); compile data for daily/weekly/monthly reports and coordinate with purchasing and facilities for supplies and third-party maintenance. Maintain accurate client data records and ensure safety, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work outdoors in variable conditions. Requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team, learn processes, and develop innovative ideas to improve operations.
