Job Summary
Complete assigned tasks at the Meridianville WWTP and pump stations, including collecting samples, running process controls like sludge judging and meter calibration, and cleaning bar screens, drums, and UV systems. Assist the Operator Responsible Charge with valve and pump operations, chemical ordering, and project oversight while maintaining accurate records and adhering to all safety protocols. Work standard hours from 8am to 4pm, with availability for after-hours calls and emergency responses. Maintain a clean workspace and exercise independent judgment while adapting to required technology and GIS systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and or GED
- Valid Alabama Driver's License
- Basic Math and reading skills
- Basic knowledge of technology and the ability to adapt to technology
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Ability to exercise independent judgement in a situation that might require it to the best of the situation
- Must be willing to work after hours calls and emergency response call to the WWTP and Pump Stations
- Position has potential for expose to sewer, water, chemicals, and loud noises
Desired Qualifications
