Job Summary
Operate and maintain the wastewater system and plant utilities on 1st shift, perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on boiler, wastewater, and utility equipment, operate and inspect pumps, document work and communicate concerns to Maintenance Manager, and follow safety/environmental/operational procedures to ensure safe, reliable operations. Requires strong attention to detail, safety, and experience with wastewater systems; education includes high school diploma or GED and relevant wastewater operator credentials.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Maryland T4 Waste Water Operator or Industrial Wastewater Works Operator, Class 2
- Experience working with waste water systems or plant utilities
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
