Job Summary
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and processes, perform preventive maintenance and adjustments on pumps, motors, blowers, chemical feed equipment, sludge equipment, and basic laboratory equipment; collect and analyze wastewater samples, record data, and report results; follow safety procedures (LOTO, confined space) and maintain a clean, safe work environment; communicate effectively with team and supervisors; demonstrate proficiency with daily computer use (email, electronic logbook, spreadsheet data entry) and use SCADA and CMMS systems; assist with installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of large equipment; support training of other O&M technicians and respond to hydraulic loading events and plant emergencies; adhere to departmental policies and participate in safety and compliance activities; required to maintain needed licenses/certifications and comply with background and medical screening requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver license (AZ driver license)
- ADEQ Grade 1 Wastewater Treatment certification within one year of start date
