Job Summary
Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems including pumps, filters, and chemical dosing units while installing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on industrial processing equipment. Respond to daily maintenance requests and emergency situations such as equipment breakdowns or environmental hazards to minimize downtime. Collect water samples to monitor chemical and biological processes like pH and chlorine levels, troubleshooting issues in treatment processes and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist with wastewater sludge handling, disposal, and management while driving to procure parts. Maintain technical knowledge through educational workshops and adhere strictly to safety rules and policies.
Required Qualifications
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or other safety violations
- Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools
- Strong wastewater troubleshooting ability
